Five Steps to a Successful Senior Move

    Admin

Moving doesn’t have to be stressful. Below are tips to break up the process into manageable steps:

Start designing your new home; think with the end in mind and focus on how you want your new life to be. Create a floor plan and image what your routine and activities will be.

Rightsize; this step includes the identification of the most important and necessary items that will go to the new location.

Pack and Prepare; organize, label, wrap and protect items, place in boxes and transport.

Move; okay, so this part is not so fun, remember to use your legs, not your back. Be nice to those who are helping!

Settle; unpack, decorate and get comfortable in your new home. Enjoy!

Non-medical home care ranges in cost from about $18 / hour to $25 / hour. Non-medical home care is ideal for those needing only a few hours per week as the costs increase as hours go up. Non-medical home care is largely private pay, meaning that individuals ...

What is the Difference Between Personal Care And Assisted Living?

    Admin

Around the county the terms assisted living, personal care and senior living are used frequently. Generally speaking they refer to communities where older adults live in private or semi-private rooms, either independently or with some level of assistance from staff for activities of daily living. In Pennsylvania prior to 2011, the terms Assisted Living and Personal Care were interchangeable. Officially, Pennsylvania's Department of Public Welfare issued licenses entitled "Personal ...
